Amethyst Ring

Ring No. 18 crafted in 925 silver, featuring a 7mm circular faceted amethyst. The ring band envelops the stone, as if embracing the silver setting that contains it.

According to Greek mythology, Dionysus, the god of wine, desired a maiden named Amethystos. She wished to remain chaste and prayed to the gods for help. The goddess Artemis heard her prayers, transforming her into a transparent crystal. When Dionysus learned of this, humiliated, he poured wine over the rock, staining it purple. The Greeks and Romans drank from amethyst cups to avoid drunkenness.
