Happy Parrots

These imposing parrots, weighing 12.6 kg and measuring 50 cm tall, 34 cm wide, and 26 cm deep, rest peacefully atop a sturdy, solid log. With their yellowish hues, green and brown tones, and striking black beaks, these beautiful birds, meticulously hand-carved, express details of texture and design that our artist masterfully captured in every whimsical variation of the stone's veining. The friendly and cheerful gaze of this parrot species, native to the Brazilian rainforest, is particularly noteworthy.

In this magnificent interpretation of the typical fauna of the Brazilian rainforest, the artist selected serpentine stones, originating from the province of Córdoba, Argentina, with varied shades of light green and striking veining, which he skillfully used to his advantage to bring these birds to life. We can observe delicate textural details, accompanying the changes in tone, which faithfully reflect the characteristic plumage with all its distinctive layers. For their beaks, black granite, also from Córdoba, Argentina, was used, providing a beautiful color contrast as well as a striking natural sheen. The trunk, also of granitic origin, perfectly completes the sculpture, with dark gray tones, white spots, and some pinkish flecks, individually selected from the region known as "Altas Cumbres" in the province of Córdoba, Argentina.

It is worth highlighting the natural brilliance that the artist was able to give to the pieces, the result of arduous and delicate work, hours of dedication and precise knowledge of the materials used.
