Serpentine Pendant

This 35 x 29 mm pendant is crafted from 950 silver and features a polished, teardrop-shaped cabochon measuring 23 x 24 mm. The cabochon's alternating bands of gray and black create a unique and unrepeatable piece. A link design surrounds the pendant, resembling a chain frame.

In northern Corsica, in the magnificent church of San Michele di Murato, serpentine forms the colorful bands that adorn the walls, combining semi-white marble and green serpentine. From pre-Roman times until the Middle Ages, serpentine was considered a stone that protected against illness and spells.
