Peridot, Amethyst and Diopsid Necklace

A 450mm choker crafted from rhodium-plated 925 sterling silver and set with peridot, amethyst, and diopside stones. Each stone was hand-faceted and individually selected for this piece, and set with prongs. This delicate and feminine choker, while simple in design, stands out for its contrasting colors.

Amethyst:

According to Greek mythology, Dionysus, the god of wine, desired a maiden named Amethystos. She wished to remain chaste and prayed to the gods for help. The goddess Artemis heard her prayers, transforming her into a transparent crystal. When Dionysus learned of this, humiliated, he poured wine over the rock, staining it purple. The Greeks and Romans drank from amethyst cups to avoid drunkenness.
