Pink amethyst weighing 72 grams and measuring 65 x 45 x 20 mm, originating from Neuquén, Argentina. This beautiful amethyst, with intense pink tones, is presented in the form of a geode.
The color is the result of hematite inclusions and spectroscopic analysis indicates that this form of quartz is closer in its absorption to amethyst than to rose quartz or pink quartz and can therefore be described as pink amethyst.
Due to its popularity as a gemstone, several terms are used in jewelry to describe the different shades of amethyst. “Rose de France” refers to light lilac amethyst, while “Siberian” is the deep violet amethyst with red flashes, the most prized variety.
