Emerald Ring

Size 16 ring crafted in rhodium-plated 925 sterling silver, featuring faceted emeralds in a 5 x 4 mm teardrop cut and a 2 mm circular cut. The design comprises two flowers, their petals formed by the teardrop-cut emeralds surrounding a central circular stone. The stones are prong-set, enhancing their color as light enters them.

The green color comes from a mixture of other minerals, including chromium, vanadium, and iron, which gives it a bluish tint. In natural light, the true essence of emeralds is easier to discern, while artificial light can expose internal fractures in the stone caused by the glare. In ancient European and Indian cultures, the emerald was associated with Mercury, the messenger of the gods and the god of journeys, sleep, and dreams, and was therefore considered the stone of divine inspiration.
