Ring, sizes 18 to 25, crafted in 950 silver with a 9 x 7 mm rutilated quartz in a polished oval cabochon. The ring's design is simple, highlighting the stone in a prong setting.

Rutilated quartz is simply quartz whose interior has been "pierced" by inclusions of rutile, a needle-like mineral ranging in color from brown to reddish, composed of titanium oxide. These needles appear within the quartz as a luminous, bright golden color. It was once considered to represent sunlight captured by the stone and was believed to bring light to those experiencing gloomy moods.
