Violet hummingbird

Weighing 1.2 kg, this unique piece measures 15 cm wide, 15 cm deep, and 30 cm high and is shaped like a hummingbird. It was crafted in shades of pink and violet, resulting in a delicate and cheerful design.

The Brazilian artist is inspired by the poetic balance between fragility and perseverance that characterizes the hummingbird, a creature venerated in many cultures for its agility, beauty and adaptability.

The choice of minerals is not accidental: rose quartz represents the sensitivity of the heart, while fluorite, with its changing color, evokes the fleeting nature of nature's most sublime moments. The desert rose symbolizes resilience in extreme conditions, becoming a visual metaphor for the arid environment where even the most beautiful life can flourish.

This sculpture seeks not only to represent a hummingbird, but to embody a sacred moment of stillness within movement, a tribute to the connection between the celestial (flight) and the earthly (the rock).

Fluorite, as well as rose quartz and Harzburgite, come from quarries located in the south of the province of Córdoba. Desert rose, in turn, comes from San Luis, all provinces in Argentina.
