I pendant made of Larimar

This 31 x 31 mm pendant is crafted from high-purity 950 silver. This beautiful and delicate pendant is entirely handmade, featuring a polished oval cabochon of Larimar measuring 15 x 11 mm. The pendant is shaped like an eye, with the stone forming its center.

It was discovered by a priest in Barahona, Dominican Republic, in 1916; however, its popularity didn't surge until 1974 when Miguel Méndez named it larimar, combining his daughter Larissa's name with the word "sea." This blue color, unlike that of other rocks, results from the substitution of cobalt for calcium.
