Amethyst and pink tourmaline ring

Size 18 ring made of 925 sterling silver with gold-plated details. It features a 9 x 6 mm faceted teardrop-cut amethyst and a 4 x 2 mm faceted teardrop-cut pink tourmaline. The design consists of two gold-plated bands that intersect, decreasing in size from the amethyst to the tourmaline.

Amethyst:

According to Greek mythology, Dionysus, the god of wine, desired a maiden named Amethystos. She wished to remain chaste and prayed to the gods for help. The goddess Artemis heard her prayers, transforming her into a transparent crystal. When Dionysus learned of this, humiliated, he poured wine over the rock, staining it purple.
