Scarf brooch measuring 73 x 30 mm, crafted in 925 sterling silver and featuring a beautiful 11 mm diameter circular cut moonstone cabochon set in a closed box. The designer's creation highlights curves resembling a teardrop or droplet, drawing the eye to the stone.
Its color and luster are due to the reflection of light on albite and orthoclase. It was very popular during the Roman Empire, when it was believed that its interior was composed of moonbeams. Moonstone is sacred to the moon and is therefore considered the stone of intuition, feeling, the heart, and fertility.
