Peridot and cubic zirconia hoops

These 31 x 15 mm hoop earrings are crafted from rhodium-plated 925 sterling silver, featuring hand-carved circular and teardrop-shaped peridots, complemented by cubic zirconia stones that enhance their brilliance. The hoop design comprises a 5 x 3 mm teardrop-shaped peridot set with prongs in front of the post and wing back, from which hangs a 7 mm circular peridot, framed and guided by leaves and branches adorned with cubic zirconia stones, adding sparkle and elegance.

The modern term “peridot” derives from the Arabic word faridat, meaning “gem.” In the Middle Ages, it was widely used by the Church. It was the preferred gemstone of the Baroque era. Peridot was already being used in Egypt as a gem and healing stone two thousand years before Christ. This mineral is also known as chrysolite.
