Who We Are

Rocas & Cristales is a brand founded by Gonzalo Martínez and Mariana Camors Camps.

We are a family project where the art of goldsmithing meets a deep knowledge of geology and mineralogy. We don't mass-produce: every piece is designed and handcrafted in our workshop in Cordoba, ensuring that each piece of jewelry is truly one of a kind.

Gonzalo Martínez brings a technical background in mineral resource management, which allows him to select each stone with a criterion that goes beyond the aesthetic: he understands its composition, its origin, and its geological history.

Mariana Camors Camps contributes the design and curatorial vision, ensuring that each piece accompanies the raw material without forcing it, respecting its natural forms.

Our Philosophy

We believe that true jewelry begins long before the workshop. It begins with the responsible choice of stone, with understanding its hardness, its fracture, its colors, and its provenance. That's why we work exclusively with 100% genuine natural stones: no imitations, no glass, no resin.

950 Silver

We use exclusively 95% pure silver, a quality superior to standard 925 silver. It guarantees durability, oxidation resistance, and biocompatibility for everyday wear.

18k Gold

We work with 18-karat gold (75% pure gold). Ideal for creating elegant contrasts over silver bases and intricate settings with precision and durability.

The Techniques We Use

Bezel setting: The metal wraps around the stone to form a continuous frame, ideal for cabochons with organic, irregular shapes.

Prong setting: Small metal prongs hold the stone in place while leaving most of it visible, maximizing the way light enters.

Soldering and forging: Silver soldering and cold rolling/forging to create precise structures with controlled thickness.

Shot-texturing: Surface finishes that give silver a unique texture, rustic or satin, depending on the design.

Mixed metals: 18k gold details over a 950 silver base for elegant, long-lasting contrast.
