Imperial Topaz Ring

Adjustable ring, sizes 17 to 21, in 950 silver, with a triangular faceted Imperial Topaz stone measuring 11 x 11 mm. The ring has a simple design with a double open band, joined by a zigzag silver wire in the middle, and separated at one end where it reaches the stone to allow for size adjustment.

The designation "Imperial" for this type of topaz originated in Russia, the location of the first fields, now depleted, during the Tsarist period. Imperial topaz was considered the stone of the sun.

Its reddish-orange color is due to traces of chromium, iron, manganese, titanium, and vanadium. Topazes are valued according to their color. From least to most valuable, they are yellow, orange, red, pink, cherry, lilac, and salmon, which is the most expensive and valuable.
