Moonstone Earrings

Hoop earrings measuring 28 x 9 mm, crafted from high-purity 950 silver, featuring a polished oval-cut cabochon of moonstone measuring 10 x 8 mm. The stone is prong-set and hangs gracefully from a silver droplet, which also serves as the post and wing nut.

Its color and luster are due to the reflection of light on albite and orthoclase. It was very popular during the Roman Empire, when it was believed that its interior was composed of moonbeams.
