Toucans

Weighing 4.15 kg, measuring 26 cm in height, 22 cm in width, and 14 cm in depth, this toucan sculpture features two toucans of different sizes—a mother and her chick—perched on a striking quartz crystal filled with geodes. The sculpture, with its violet tones interspersed with browns, a yellow beak, and violet veins, highlights two birds of different sizes perched on a striking quartz crystal covered in geodes.

In this work, the artist managed to extract from a single piece of fluorite a variety of hues that allowed him to bring these birds to life. Their bodies and feathers stand out for their violet color, interwoven with brown tones from iron oxides, combined with prominent yellow beaks and a certain translucency characteristic of the stone's quality. The base, also unique, delights us with crystal quartz geodes that cover its entire perimeter.

For this work, Fluorite and Quartz stones were selected from the same quarry located in the province of Córdoba, Argentina.
