Adjustable ring (sizes 16-23) crafted in 925 sterling silver with a faceted, teardrop-cut imperial topaz measuring 12 x 9 mm. This striking ring was made using a silver spoon from 1900, highlighting the hand-engraved details on its surface.
The designation "Imperial" for this type of topaz originated in Russia, the location of the first fields, now depleted, during the Tsarist period. Imperial topaz was considered the stone of the sun.
Its reddish-orange color is due to traces of chromium, iron, manganese, titanium, and vanadium. Topazes are valued according to their color. From least to most valuable, they are yellow, orange, red, pink, cherry, lilac, and salmon, which is the most expensive and valuable.
