Amethyst, Moonstone and Peridot Bracelet

This 185mm long bracelet is crafted from 950 silver and features oval-shaped faceted stones (8 x 6 mm) of peridot, amethyst, and moonstone. The stones are prong-set and separated by links. It is a delicate yet robust piece.

AMETHYST:

According to Greek mythology, Dionysus, the god of wine, desired a maiden named Amethystos. She wished to remain chaste and prayed to the gods for help. The goddess Artemis heard her prayers, transforming her into a transparent crystal. When Dionysus learned of this, humiliated, he poured wine over the rock, staining it purple. The Greeks and Romans drank from amethyst cups to avoid drunkenness.

PERIDOT:
