Ring No. 14 crafted in rhodium-plated 925 sterling silver with faceted oval and round stones of Amethyst, Citrine, and Peridot. The design features a 6 x 4 mm oval Amethyst at its center, flanked by 5 x 3 mm oval citrines and 3 mm round peridots. Small cubic zirconia stones complete the design.
Amethyst:
According to Greek mythology, Dionysus, the god of wine, desired a maiden named Amethystos. She wished to remain chaste and prayed to the gods for help. The goddess Artemis heard her prayers, transforming her into a transparent crystal. When Dionysus learned of this, humiliated, he poured wine over the rock, staining it purple. The Greeks and Romans drank from amethyst cups to avoid drunkenness.
