Amethyst Ring

Ring No. 15 crafted in rhodium-plated 925 sterling silver with faceted amethysts in a 4mm circular cut and a 6 x 4mm oval cut. This striking ring features three rows of amethysts arranged concentrically, set with prongs, allowing light to enter and highlight their incredible, intense violet color.

According to Greek mythology, Dionysus, the god of wine, desired a maiden named Amethystos. She wished to remain chaste and prayed to the gods for help. The goddess Artemis heard her prayers, transforming her into a transparent crystal. When Dionysus learned of this, humiliated, he poured wine over the rock, staining it purple. The Greeks and Romans drank from amethyst cups to avoid drunkenness.
