Diopside and cubic zirconia hoops

These 15mm diameter hoop earrings are crafted from rhodium-plated 925 sterling silver and feature hand-carved, teardrop-shaped diopsides arranged concentrically to form a flower-like structure. The tips of these diopsides point to a central cubic zirconia, and they are surrounded by similar diopsides, creating the flower's petals. They are undoubtedly delicate and elegant earrings.

It is also known by the misleading name of Russian Emerald, because quality specimens have a color very similar to this gemstone. Chromium diopside is a variety of a beautiful emerald green. This intense green hue is due to the presence of chromium within the stone's crystalline structure. Following its relatively recent discovery in Russia, it has been marketed with great success as a gemstone that offers a lower price alternative to emerald and other more expensive green gems.
