Opal and Citrine Ring

Ring No. 17 crafted in rhodium-plated 925 sterling silver with eight polished oval cabochon welo opal stones (6 x 4 mm) and oval faceted citrines (4 x 3 mm). This striking ring features opals arranged in a zigzag pattern in the center, with citrines placed on either side to provide a distinctive, intense yellow hue.

Welo Opal:

The play of colors in opal is due to the refraction of light within the cristobalite microspheres. In Greek mythology, it was said to have originated from the tears of Zeus's good fortune after his victory over the Titans. In India, it is the goddess of the rainbow, solidified into stone when she fled from the troublesome gods.
