Size 20 ring crafted in rhodium-plated 925 sterling silver with a faceted, teardrop-cut green tourmaline (6 x 4 mm), surrounded by cubic zirconia. It is a delicate and feminine ring.
The elements that give tourmalines their green hue are vanadium, chromium, or iron. The greatest admirer of tourmalines was Empress Dowager Cixi, who ruled China from 1860 to 1908. The Empress used the stone in carvings, on watch chain clasps, and on the buttons of jackets worn by the Imperial Court.
