I pendant of Peridot

This 46 x 12 cm pendant is crafted from high-purity 950 silver and features a 7 mm diameter faceted peridot in a circular cut. The pendant's design incorporates a floral motif, with the peridot forming part of the fruit, from which branches and flowers emerge. It's a cheerful and youthful design.

The modern term “peridot” derives from the Arabic word faridat, meaning “gem.” In the Middle Ages, it was widely used by the Church. It was the preferred gemstone of the Baroque era. Peridot was already being used in Egypt as a gem and healing stone two thousand years before Christ. This mineral is also known as chrysolite.
