Hessonite Orange Garnet Ring

Ring size 16, crafted in rhodium-plated 925 sterling silver. The central stone is a variety of orange garnet, also called Hessonite garnet or Fanta garnet, measuring 12 x 10 mm in an oval cabochon cut. It is set with prongs, and on either side of the main stone are four cubic zirconia stones, which enhance the beauty of this natural gemstone.

The bright, electric-orange spessartine garnets are called "mandarin garnet," while others have a more yellowish-orange hue. Their color is due to the presence of manganese. It is said that Noah used a garnet lamp to guide his ark through the darkness of night.
