Woman on Fire

Weighing 2.15 kg, this piece measures 27 cm high, 12 cm wide, and 12 cm thick, and its design is open to interpretation. The sculpture depicts either a woman with one breast and her bare buttock, or a flame, allowing for free interpretation. Its pink and white tones, delicate curves, and shimmering details create a beautiful piece that could represent the fight against breast cancer.

For this sculpture, a soft pinkish Dolomite was selected to represent a human figure, simulating skin textures and tones. Focusing on the female figure, this work allows for multiple interpretations, suggesting a one-breasted woman, a flame, or a blend of both. Its base, a deep green with lighter, brownish areas, exhibits iridescence and was crafted from Harzburgite.

For this work, pink Dolomite from a quarry located in the center of Córdoba was selected, as well as Harzburgite from the south of the same province, both from Argentina.
