A 400mm choker crafted in rhodium-plated 925 sterling silver, featuring yellow and orange sapphires in 3, 2, and 1mm diameters, accompanied by 1mm diopsides. The design is a scarab beetle, its body covered in yellow sapphires, and its head adorned with vibrant green diopsides, with orange eyes thanks to the hue of the sapphires chosen for this effect. It is a striking and distinguished design.
Sapphire:
The elements that give it color are iron and titanium in blue sapphire, and vanadium in violet. Iron determines the yellow and green tones, chromium the pink color, and inclusions of rutile needles produce a silky luster. In ancient European and Indian cultures, it was considered the stone of Saturn, representing the sky, the world of angels, magic, loyalty, and friendship. In antiquity, and to some extent even into the Middle Ages, the term sapphire was generally understood to refer to what is now known as lapis lazuli.
Origin: Sri Lanka.
Properties: It provides uprightness, instills wisdom, and enhances judgment and the structuring of thoughts. Known as the stone of wisdom.
Zodiac sign: Pisces
Diopside:
It is also known by the misleading name of Russian Emerald, because quality specimens have a color very similar to this gemstone. Chromium diopside is a variety of a beautiful emerald green. This intense green hue is due to the presence of chromium within the stone's crystalline structure. Following its relatively recent discovery in Russia, it has been marketed with great success as a gemstone that offers a lower price alternative to emerald and other more expensive green gems.
Properties: It teaches humility and helps you value what you truly feel, to follow your intuition and trust your ability to feel.
Origin: Pakistan
Sign: Sagittarius
