Ying yang pendant by Muonionalusta

This 60 x 45 mm pendant is crafted from rhodium-plated 925 sterling silver. It features a 45 mm diameter circular meteorite from Sweden. The design incorporates the Yin and Yang symbol, with one half plated in 14k gold. The entire meteorite is then coated with liquid sapphire for added protection.

The Muonionalusta meteorite is a metallic meteorite found in 1906 in the municipality of Kitkiöjärvi, Sweden. Weighing 230 kg, it is the largest meteorite found in Sweden and Scandinavia.

In 1906 a 10-year-old boy tending cattle in the forest found an iron-rich mass 3 km southwest of the village of Kitkiöjärvi (Pajala, Sweden), near the border with Finland.

In the elemental composition of this meteorite there is, in addition to iron, 8.42% nickel, 2.4 ppm of gallium, 1.6 ppm of iridium and only 0.13 ppm of germanium.
