This 40 x 22mm pendant is crafted from high-purity 950 silver. At its center is a beautiful 26 x 20mm charoite cabochon. The hand-polished stone showcases its exquisite range of colors, a blend of purples, black, and grays. Its simple design allows the stone's beauty to shine.
Found in 1940 north of Lake Baikal, in the Murum Mountains of Yakutia, Russia, it was initially called "lilac stone," but around 1978 when it was marketed to the rest of the world it became known as Charoite, a name derived from the Chary River which is located near where it was found.
