Tourmaline and cubic zirconia ring

Size 10 ring made of rhodium-plated 925 sterling silver with five hand-faceted, teardrop-shaped tourmalines, each 6 x 4 mm. The design resembles parts of a flower that has lost its petals. Pink (rubellite) and brownish tourmalines are featured. Small cubic zirconia stones adorn the beginning of the ring band.

Tourmaline is composed of different mineral elements, but it always has the same basic structure. Metals are always present in tourmalines and are what give this mineral its variety of colors. It is the only gemstone that exhibits every shade, from transparent to black.
