Pendant made of Peridot, Calcite and Amethyst

A 32 x 15 mm pendant in rhodium-plated 925 sterling silver, crafted with hand-faceted natural stones in oval, teardrop, and circular cuts. It features seven circular amethysts and one peridot, each 3 mm in diameter, and two light blue calcites in oval and teardrop cuts, measuring 7 x 5 mm. The design depicts a bee in flight, with the peridot forming the head and the calcite the body, leaving a trail of amethysts and calcite below. This trail hangs in a dynamic, flowing pattern.

Peridot:

The modern term “peridot” derives from the Arabic word faridat, meaning “gem.” In the Middle Ages, it was widely used by the Church. It was the preferred gemstone of the Baroque era. Peridot was already being used in Egypt as a gem and healing stone two thousand years before Christ. This mineral is also known as chrysolite.
