Emerald, Diopside, Pink Tourmaline, Peridot and Cubic Zirconia Ring

Size 18 ring made of rhodium-plated 925 sterling silver, featuring emeralds, diopsides, pink tourmalines, and peridots, all faceted and prong-set. The design evokes elongated tropical flowers, with 6 x 5 mm faceted pear-shaped emeralds at either end. In the center of the piece are three circular pink tourmalines, surrounded by four pear-shaped diopsides, and along the path are ten pear-shaped peridots. Four small cubic zirconia stones complete the design, adding sparkle.

Diopsidium:

It is also known by the misleading name of Russian Emerald, because quality specimens have a color very similar to this gemstone. Chromium diopside is a variety of a beautiful emerald green. This intense green hue is due to the presence of chromium within the stone's crystalline structure. Following its relatively recent discovery in Russia, it has been marketed with great success as a gemstone that offers a lower price alternative to emerald and other more expensive green gems.
